Campaign For Quality

The Mohawk Valley Health System’s (MVHS) annual Campaign For Quality (CFQ) promises to provide a new perspective on the ever-changing healthcare industry.

This popular educational event, which celebrated its 16th anniversary in 2017, features international, national and local experts presenting on current trends in healthcare, patient experiences, population health topics and patient safety initiatives. CFQ is held annually at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, and is free to attend. A special evening presentation and dinner is held at the Radisson Hotel in Utica, New York. Check back here for 2018 dates and information.

The 2017 conference offered nine presentations, including topics on:

  • interventional neurology,
  • person-centered care,
  • robotics,
  • infection prevention,
  • virtual care,
  • high reliability,
  • urology,
  • business psychology,
  • population health and more.

“Any provider, any healthcare worker or just anyone concerned about their health or the health of loved ones in general, should make time to attend Campaign For Quality. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain,” said Scott Perra FACHE, president/CEO of MVHS. “This educational series brings together incredible speakers with years of experience on various topics that affect all of us. Normally you’d expect to see these renowned speakers in large cities or major academic healthcare institutes but the 2017 CFQ is bringing all of them right here to our community. Even if you can only attend part of this amazing conference, you will come away with knowledge that will positively influence your understanding of healthcare.”

Target Audience

This free educational event is open to all employees, medical staff and volunteers from hospitals across New York state, as well as the general public. In 2016, nearly 500 physicians, healthcare workers, students and community members were in attendance. Fifty hospitals and healthcare organizations located throughout New York state were represented at last year’s Campaign For Quality.

2017 Keynote Speakers

John Morley, MD – Chief Medical Officer at North Bronx Health Network

Dr. Morley was appointed CMO for the North Bronx Health Network in 2015. His background is in anesthesiology, and he previously served as medical director for the Office of Health Systems Management in the New York State Health Department. Most recently, he served as deputy chief medical officer at Health & Hospitals Corporate.

Massari experienced two traumatic incidents three years apart – one where she was severely burned on over half of her body. She now shares the story of how she overcame her injuries to find strength and her life’s work.
