MVHS Senior Leadership
Scott H. Perra is President/CEO of Mohawk Valley Health System (Parent Company) of Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare, St. Elizabeth Medical Center and all related corporations in Utica, New York. Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) serves a multi county area of central New York and is comprised of 570 acute care beds, 202 long term care beds and over 50 locations in Oneida, Herkimer, and Madison Counties. An integrated delivery system with approximately $525 million in revenue and 4,200 full time equivalent employees, it has more than 24,000 inpatient admissions and 650,000 outpatient visits annually.
Mr. Perra received his Master of Science in Management Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Bachelors Degree in Health Services Management from the State University of New York College of Technology, Utica, New York. He was designated a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2000.
Robert Scholefield, RN, MS is executive vice president and chief operating officer for the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS). He has served as senior vice president of Operations for MVHS since March 2014.
In this position, Scholefield is responsible for the operations of the healthcare system, overseeing a number of departments and programs as well as working with the executive director and medical director of the MVHS Medical Group.
Prior to the MVHS affiliation, Scholefield served as the chief operating officer at St. Elizabeth Medical Center (SEMC). He has been employed at SEMC for more than 30 years and was previously assistant director and director of Nursing and vice president of Nursing.
Senior Vice Presidents
Louis Aiello is senior vice president and chief financial officer for the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS). He has served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for MVHS since March 2014.
In this position, Aiello is responsible for the finance and operations of the company while integrating accounting, budgeting, investing and financial reporting as well as providing the health system with the managerial support necessary to administer the highest quality of care to all patients.
Linda McCormack-Miller, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, is our senior vice president/chief nursing officer for the Mohawk Valley Health System. In this position, Linda is responsible for nursing practice, policy and procedures across the system.
Linda has more than 25 years of progressive healthcare experience. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, she was commissioned as a nurse in the United States Navy. She served at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia; Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, North Carolina; and Oakland Naval Hospital in Oakland, California. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and her Doctorate in Nursing from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois.
In 1993, Linda began her post-naval career at Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital in Binghamton, New York, and held a variety of positions, most recently serving as the senior vice president of Operations/chief nursing officer. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Nurse Executive, Advanced.
Michael F. Trevisani, MD, MBA, CPE, FASCRS, FACHE is senior vice president/chief medical officer for the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS), serving as medical director for both Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH) and St. Elizabeth Medical Center (SEMC). In this role, Dr. Trevisani is responsible for overseeing the medical staffs of FSLH and SEMC, credentialing, the Medical Staff Office, Family Medicine Residency Program, Dental Residency Program, Palliative Care and Medical Libraries. He is involved in the quality of medical care delivered as well as responsible for driving quality and safety initiatives throughout MVHS. Dr. Trevisani also works directly with the department chairs, directors of contracted medical groups and hospital-based physicians to coordinate patient care and safety efficiently.
Since January 2014, Dr. Trevisani has held the position of senior vice president /chief medical officer (CMO) for Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH). Prior to that, he served as vice president of Medical Affairs/CMO at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, New York, and UHS Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton, New York.
Eric Yoss, MD, FCCP, a specialist in Pulmonology and Critical Care Medicine, is senior vice president of Quality at the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS). In this position, he is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the various quality programs at MVHS.
Dr. Yoss has served on the St. Elizabeth Medical Center (SEMC) medical staff since the early 1990s, including as its president and secretary/treasurer. He has been associated with Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates of New Hartford since 1988 and has served as medical director of Respiratory Care and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at SEMC and as medical director of Critical Care services at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH).
Dr. Davidson is a surgeon at Surgical Associates of Utica in New Hartford, New York. He received his Doctor of Medicine from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, New York, and a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Davidson is chairman of the Medical Records Committee, a member of the Mohawk Valley Health System Medical Staff Advisory Committee and is one of SEMC’s trauma surgeons.
Michael Attilio, MD, is vice president of the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) Medical Group. He is responsible for overseeing the MVHS-operated primary care and specialty offices, Faxton Urgent Care and hospitalist programs. Prior to joining Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare (FSLH) in 2011, Dr. Attilio served as a family physician in the United States Army. He held multiple medical and leadership roles while in the military, and was deployed to Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010. Upon separating from active duty service, Dr. Attilio joined FSLH as a primary care physician in the Barneveld Medical Office. He was appointed Medical Director for Adirondack Community Physicians in 2012, and as Medical Director of the MVHS Medical Group following the affiliation of FSLH and St. Elizabeth Medical Center
John Lynch is vice president/chief information officer (CIO) for Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS). In this role, Lynch coordinates and manages the use of technology to increase information accessibility and integrated systems throughout MVHS.
Prior to this position, Lynch was vice president/CIO at Greater Hudson Valley Health System in Middletown, New York, and, previously, system vice president/CIO at Provena Health (now Presence Health) in Mokena, Illinois.
Jack Davis, SHRM-SCP, SPHR is vice president of Human Resources (HR) and chief human resources officer (CHRO) for the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS).
Prior to joining MVHS, Davis was the vice president of Administrative Services/CHRO for Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, New York. He has also held positions as vice president of HR for Canton-Potsdam Hospital in Postdam, New York, director of HR for Alle-Kiski Medical Center in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, and associate hospital director/chief operations officer, as well as director of HR at Central State Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Traci Boris, Esq. is vice president of Legal and Compliance for the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS). She has served as assistant vice president of Legal and Compliance at MVHS since 2014 and as both assistant general counsel and general counsel for St. Elizabeth Medical Center since joining the organization in 2008.
Boris earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from Albany Law School. She was a member of the Albany Law Review and participated in the Gabrielli Moot Court Appellate Advocacy Competition. She completed her Bachelor of Science magna cum laude in Political Science at SUNY Oneonta in Oneonta, New York.
Palmer is responsible for oversight of the following areas: Facilities, Construction, Environmental Services, Clinical Engineering, Safety/Security, Parking, Laundry, Call Center, Patient Transport, Nutritional Services and Mail/Courier. Palmer received a Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Services Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management from State University of New York, Institute of Technology in Utica. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Central New York Society for Healthcare Engineering.
John M. Forbes is the vice president of Philanthropy for the MVHS Foundations (Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Medical Center). John received his bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, where he also served as a major gifts officer. He has a strong background in development having also worked in the field at both Utica College and Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire. John serves as the lead in supporting and sustaining the philanthropic efforts of MVHS in the community and with our medical staff and healthcare family.
Shannon Mathewson, MBA, PCMH, CCE is vice president of Operations at the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS). In this role, she is responsible for the Pharmacy, Rehabilitation Services, Respiratory Care, Imaging Services, the Sleep Disorders Center and Advanced Wound Care.
Mathewson has been employed at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare since 1996 and served as director of Operations for the MVHS Medical Group since May 2007.
Debra Altdoerffer is vice president of Communications and Marketing for the Mohawk Valley Health System.
In this position, Altdoerffer is responsible for the Marketing and Communications for MVHS as well as the Volunteer Departments at each hospital. She has been employed with the healthcare system for more than 25 years.
A graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado, she and her family have lived in the Mohawk Valley since 1985.
